Wow, I’m sure you’re enjoying the adventure. I’m in city van living in Ohio and it hasn’t been too bad. I have plenty of streets with on-street parking right now though. πŸ™‚ I’m glad I’ve found this post. I’m mentally preparing for long-distance travel. Thanks, great read! Living "The Dream"

Setting out in our van seemed like a relatively easy thing to do. We came from a place where you can park most places overnight and BLM land surrounds the places you want to climb. As with any place there are exceptions, I’ve never climbed in LA, but I would imagine it’s a hard place to park your van overnight and not be asked to leave.

We made our way into Denver with big plans to climb all the outstanding crags. Then a series of storms blew in. Since then, our plans to climb have been significantly altered. We grabbed memberships to the Denver Bouldering Club to stay in shape on the wet and snowy days. For the time being, the gym is perfect. We are reacquainting ourselves with powerful climbing and avoiding forced down time. Next week the weather is supposed to lighten up and we can go back…
